Michael A. Herron, age 60, of rural Evansville, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 09, 2014, at his home.
Mike loved spending time with his sons and grandchildren; his other interests were traveling with family and friends, spending time outdoors, watching football and reading. He was proud to have worked as a union electrician, where he held several executive positions with IBEW Local #16 throughout his tenure. Mike was a man of great faith and touched the lives of many.
Surviving Mike are his wife of 38 years, ; four sons,; one sister, of Evansville; a brother, and five grandchildren,

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Louise (Reisinger) Herron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rev. Claude Burns officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 3 until 8 p.m. on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 7 p.m. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at St. Philip Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Gibault School, 6401 South US Highway 41, Terre Haute, IN 47802-0316.
