Jesse R. Garrett, age 91, of Kuttawa, died Friday, August 8. at Baptist Health in Paducah. He was a retired coal miner, attended Pritchett's Chapel Church in Madisonville and was a volunteer at Kentucky Dam Village golf course.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Brown Garrett, Kuttawa. KY; one son, Donald Garrett & wife, Joyce, Dawson Springs, KY; one daughter, Carolyn Garrett, Madisonville, KY; one stepson, Chris Haslam, Kuttawa, KY; one stepdaughter, Cindy Haslam Browning, Franklin, TN; one sister, Patricia Perkins, Central City, KY; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Nellie Wilson Garrett, eight brothers, Arlie, Clarence, Charlie, Manual, James, Omer, Elmer, Delmer Garrett and four sisters, Christine Tapp, Josephine Rickard, Beatrice Whitaker and Mayme Austin.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 9, at Lakeland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Webster County.
