Mr. Marvin G. Allday, 77, a native of Silas, AL and resident of Lucedale, MS died Friday, August 8, 2014 at Sparrow Hills in Lucedale. He was a member of Springbank Baptist Church and retired as a lift operator at Ciba Geigy. Mr. Allday is preceded in death by his mother, Barzilla Allday Grice; father, Jack Allday; 5 brothers, Willie Allday, Condie Allday, Johnny Allday, Jack Allday; Otis Allday; 2 sisters, Erma Lee Lewis, Flossie McInvale. He is survived by his son, Marty Allday (Amanda) of Millry, AL; sister, Lois Martin of Klamath Falls, OR; 2 grandchildren, Brennon Allday, Brayden Allday both of Millry, AL; several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Allday will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, August 10, 2014 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM with a lie-in-state from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Monday, August 11, 2014 from the Springbank Baptist Church in Silas, AL with Rev. Justin Olvey officiating. Interment will be in Springbank Cemetery in Silas, AL.
