Never Married
Elizabeth Shadow is difficult to trace with certainty. The informant on her death certificate was Harry C. Lowe, son of her sister, Sarah J. Shadow, and with whom Elizabeth was living in Harrisburg in the 1880-1910 census, as Sarah's sister. The problem is her birth dates. In the census Elizabeth's ages correspond to years between 1830 to 1865. Furthermore, she could be the Rachael E. Shadow, age 9, in her father John's 1850 Dauphin, Halifax Twp. census.
As an observation, this family and children all have wildly varying ages across census reports.
