She was born March 18, 1933, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Wilburn Parrott and Ethel Blanton Parrott.
Evelyn was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she displayed her love of music by participating in the Hand Bell Choir. In previous years, she served as a pianist and organist at several area churches.
The family wishes to express their deep gratitude for the loving and compassionate care provided by all the staff at the Robin Johnson House.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Steve L. Arrowood and son, Steve Lewis Arrowood Jr.
A funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 805 S. York St., Gastonia, N.C.
