My name is Gladys Irene Babb. My journey on Earth was completed on April 28, 2007 and I am now dancing with all the other angels, free from pain and able to move about like I haven't in years! I began this life on January 22, 1917. My parents, Andrew and Minnie Godwin, gave me four sisters and two brothers. My adventures continued when I married Reginald Babb on May 20, 1933. We were later joined for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together, we raised four boys and celebrated 58 years of marriage. I had many talents, which I loved to share with people. I was quite accomplished in crocheting and crafts. Many of my paintings, blankets and jewelry creations are still treasured by family members today. I really enjoyed sewing. For years I made all my own drapes and bedspreads. You couldn't find them as beautiful and well-made in any store! I was truly blessed with a gift. I had many wonderful experiences during my life, made so much better because I had family and friends to share them with. As I follow my loved ones who have already reached that higher plain, I leave behind those that still have work to do. My family wishes to express thanks to hospice for the care I received in my last days. All of our heartfelt gratitude goes to Garry and Brian for taking me into their home. Not only did they make me happy and comfortable during my last days, but they also graciously opened their home to all that wished to visit me. I am survived by my sons, Eugene (Beverly), Richard (Patricia) and Garry (Carmen), as well as 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grand-children and six great-great-grand-children. I will now be reunited with my husband, my sisters, a brother and my son, Stan. His wife, Plesia is one of my loved ones I leave behind. Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I took His hand when I heard him call, though it hurts to leave you all. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2007, 1 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 South where a viewing will be held Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.
