Joe Bailey Short Sr. 75, of Jacksonville AR, passed away on August 7, 2014 at UAMS, surrounded by his family.

Joe was born to the late Ernie and Arris Short of Hot Springs. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 54 years, Geneva Sue Short; three wonderful sons, Danny (Jamie) Short of Clarksville, Myron (Diane) Short of Jacksonville, Joe (Jannet) Short Jr of Redfield; brother, Gary Dale (Janet) of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Holly, Beau Jack, Kyle, Luke, Kelsey, and Marley; four great-grandchildren, Maddy, Jacob, America, and Averee Belle; many nieces and nephews. Joe loved his family very much.

Services:
Visitation will be Sunday August 10, 2014 at Arkansas Funeral Care in Jacksonville from 5pm-7pm. Graveside service will be held on Monday August 11, 2014 at 1pm at the Avery Cemetery in Hot Springs.

A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at UAMS for the excellent medical and emotional care they gave Joe and our family during his stay.
