Ryan, Thomas S. Sr. COHOES Thomas S. Ryan Sr., 83, of Cohoes, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Albany Memorial Hospital, embraced by his loving family. Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late William F. and Antoinette Boudreau Ryan and husband of the late Beatrice Vanier Ryan. Tom grew up in Elnora and spent most of his life in Cohoes. He was employed as mason and brick layer with the union. He was a World War II Army veteran and recipient of the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Tom was a member of the Cohoes American Legion E.T. Ruane Post 476 and a former member of the Cohoes Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his devoted children, Patricia A. Fisher of Cohoes and Thomas S. (Patti) Ryan Jr. of Clifton Park; his cherished grandchildren, Patricia, Michelle, David Jr., Lynn and Garrett; seven great-grandchildren; his siblings, Doris Moran of Ballston Spa, Patricia Cassidy of Wilton, William (Lorraine) Ryan of Jonesville, John (Alma) Ryan and Edward (Susan) Ryan, both of Clifton Park; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes Tuesday morning at 9:00. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday 2-5 p.m.
