Julia grew up in Pima, Arizona. She lived in Springfield, Oregon for nineteen years while she was married to T.G. and then moved to Mesquite, Nevada to be near her daughter, Angie. She enjoyed painting with water colors, sewing, quilting, gardening and playing the piano. Julia loved teaching first and second grade students. She was a grandma to everyone.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie (Jimmie) Hughes of Scenic, AZ; step children: Gerald (Billie) Hunt of Logandale, NV; Dale (Linda) Hunt of Las Vegas, NV; Roger (Mauna Sue) Hunt of Las Vegas, NV; Joy (Garry) Noel of Mesquite, NV, Sue (Kerry) Woods of Bunkerville, NV, 36 grandchildren and multiple great- and great- great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Stake Center on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11 with a viewing starting at 9 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow at the Bunkerville Cemetery.
