The family and friends of Jimmie D. Cox are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on August 8, 2014, at the age of 48. Jimmie was born in Kanas City, KS to the late James D. and Donna Byrd Cox on September 28, 1965. Jimmie loved to fish every chance he got. He enjoyed working on computers, vehicles and tinkering with things. Jimmie loved anytime he could lend a hand to help anyone he could. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, James D. and Donna B. Cox; one sister, Pam Eastman.
Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Richard Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Gueydan Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 8:00 AM until the time of his funeral service.
