Karen was a hairdresser for many years, a realtor for over 30 years, and had also been a property manager before her retirement in 1987. She enjoyed cooking with her grandchildren, gardening, and spending time with her many close friends. She also loved listening to big band and jazz music.
SURVIVORS include 4 children: Kristen Kendall of Norton Shores, Kamin (Tom) Kannally of Mattawan, MI, David Kendall, Jr. of Muskegon, Kari Kendall of Kalamazoo, MI; 4 grandchildren: James and Justin Kendall, Taryn and Kevin Kannally; 1 great-granddaughter: Lauren Kendall; and her brother, William (Mary) Ogren of Muskegon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jack Ogren.
A CELEBRATION OF KAREN'S LIFE, officiated by Sherry Petro-Surdel, will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 9, 2014 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place 11:00 AM Monday at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
