Miss Elizabeth Kramer Voorhees died in Washington D.C., where she and her sister, Miss Mary Voorhees and her cousin, Miss Mabel Castner of Elizabeth, had gone two days before to spend a week. Taken ill early in the morning of her death, she was taken to Garfield Memorial Hospital, where she died four hours later.

She was a daughter of the late Nathaniel W. Voorhees and Mrs. Naomi Voorhees and was born and always lived in Clinton. Besides her sister, she leaves a brother, Dr. Nathaniel W. Voorees of Hill Acres, High Bridge.
Elizabeth was a sister of the late ex-Governor Foster M. Voorhees of High Bridge.

Her father was the cashier of the First National Bank. He served as clerk, of the New Jersey Senate in 1875 and 1876 and was a candidate for Congress. She was a niece of the late Ralph Voorhees of Clinton, who made many donations to educational institutions and churches in many parts of the country.

She had long been a member of the Clinton Presbyterian Church.

Her obituary was published in the Hunterdon County Democrat on May 8, 1930.
