Tracy was married for 62 years to Maxine D. ( Whitaker) Garrett. He was the father of three, grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of ten, four of whom were born within the last month of Tracy's life. Tracy enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17 and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He worked most of his career at Drake Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio as a licensed Stationary Engineer. He was also active in the Landmark Baptist Temple Seniors group in Cincinnati. Obituary published in The Cincinnati Enquirer on July 18, 2010.
