William Howard Hogg joined his heavenly family on Monday, August 4, 2014. born to Dr. Garrett Hogg, Sr. and Cornelia McBride Hogg in Edna, TX on February 16, 1919. The family decided to move back home to Springield, MO when he was a year old. Bill grew up with a love of golf, music and bridge. After a marriage he moved his family to Kansas City, MO. He served 2 years in the Navy during WWII and then worked for Bendix Aviation Corp. for 25 years. Bill owned a golf driving range during the summer months. He was a choir member at Village Presbyterian Church for 10 years. He also directed bridge tournaments where he met and married Gladys Spencer Brown. They lived in Ocala, FL for 27 years and taught bridge on cruise ships! Bill had many friends and lots of stories. His sense of humor and faith sustained him through life. Bill is survived by his daughters: Jane Hogg Krizer, Susan Hogg Ferris (Fred) and step daughter Joann Brown. He has seven grandchildren:Shauna Macauley, Mark Macauley, John Krizer (Angie), Kathy Smith (Tyler) John Nelson (Deb), Jim Nelson and Greg DeSatnik. Also two great grandsons Evan and Andrew Krizer. He was preceded in death by his step daughter Brenda DeSatnik. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday August 8, 2014 Pleasant Valley Cemetery , 9501 W. 159th St. Overland Park, KS 66221.
