JOPLIN, MO — Marilyn G. Hodges, age 75, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at St. John's Regional Medical Center. Marilyn was born Sept. 11, 1935, in Leadwood, Mo., and moved to Joplin in 1978. Marilyn was employed as a nursing supervisor with Freeman Hospital, retiring in 1990, to care for her mother. Marilyn was a member of the College Heights Christian Church, Twin Hills Country Club and the Ladies Golf Association. She married Jerry L. Hodges March 23, 1957, in Farmington, Mo. He survives. Additional survivors include a son, James Hodges and wife, Patti, Manhattan, Kan.; one brother, Milton ³Del² Hughes and wife, Susan, Frankfort, Ind.; two grandchildren, Eric Hodges and wife, Rachel and Kelsi Hodges; and one great-grandson, Vincent James Hodges. Memorial services will be held at the College Heights Christian Church on Sunday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. with Randy Gariss, and Rick Bushnell, Ministers, officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the church. Memorial contributions are requested to St. John's Hospice Program in care of the mortuary.
