Frances G. O'Rourke was born December 5, 1916, to William and Frances (Witt) O'Rourke at their home near Waubun, MN. She graduated from Waubun High School and later received her teaching certificate. Frances married B. Howard Daniel on February 25, 1941, in St. Paul, MN. They lived in Oregon, California, and Nevada before returning to Mahnomen area after WWII. Frances taught for several years while they farmed in Rosedale Township for 33 years. They retired to Mahnomen in 1980, where she was still living at the time of her death.
Frances enjoyed quilting, cooking and gardening.
Frances is survived by two daughters; one son; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 11 step great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, 19 step great-great grandchildren, two sisters, one brother and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two son-in-laws; Jim Bridges and John Heimann, four sisters, three brothers, one step great grandchild and one step great-great grandchild.
Memorial Services will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Mahnomen, MN, on Friday, August 8, 2014, at 11:00a.m. Inurnment will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Mahnomen.
