Michelle Diane Parkinson Fox, 50, of Rigby, Idaho passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Madison Memorial Hospital after a valiant battle with breast cancer.

Michelle was born on February 18, 1964 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Robert Hyrum Parkinson and Diane Rae Longmore. She attended school in the Blackfoot School District and graduated from Blackfoot High School. She continued her education at Ricks College, BYU-Hawaii and BYU-Provo.

On December 13, 1985 Michelle married Albert "Ray" Fox Jr. in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They have three children, Rachel, Spencer and Matthew.

With Michelle's husband, Ray, being in the military, she has lived in various places, including California, Texas, Georgia, Colorado and Germany. She loved to travel.

Michelle was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was dedicated in her callings in the Primary, Young Women's, Relief Society and Scout organizations.

In her free time she enjoyed the outdoors, jewelry making, master gardening and most of all loved her family.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Ray Fox of Rigby; children, Rachel (Terrance) McKay of Rigby, Spencer (Natasha) Fox of Rexburg and Matthew Todd Fox of Pocatello; her parents, Robert and Diane Parkinson of Blackfoot; siblings, Lori (Brett) Stocking of Blackfoot, Robert Ray (Marilee) Parkinson of Pocatello, Stephanie (Greg) Martin of Challis, Chris (Jodi) Parkinson of West Valley City, UT and Jeff Parkinson of Pocatello; and grandson, Braxton McKay.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents; and nephew, Jeremy Stocking.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Rose 2nd Ward LDS Church. Family will meet with friends and relatives from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at the Groveland Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
