Cox, Carlos V. 88, Monday, August 4, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn R. (nee Broadfoot) Cox; dear father of Judy (John) Ermold of Webster Groves, and Galen (Cheryl) Cox of Shrewsbury; dear grandfather of Scott (Christa) Ermold and Lisa (Paul) Schwartzkopf; and dear greatgrandfather of Zoe and Jack Schwarztkopf. Carlos was a 50-year Master Mason, Grand Lodge of Missouri, Spirit of St. Louis #27, and former member of the Moolah Temple Shrine Band. Carlos graduated early from Blewett High School in St. Louis to join the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He participated in action in the Pacific Theater and in the occupation of China, and was a Life Member of the 1st Marine Division Association. Carlos was the owner/manager of Serve-U-Market, a family grocery store, for 40 years. Services: Visitation will be Saturday, August 9, from 9-11am at HOFFMEISTER COLONIAL MORTUARY, 6464 Chippewa 63109, with the funeral service to follow at 11am. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Shriners Hospitals for Children are appreciated.
