Everett was the second of five children born to Alexander Bailey and Francis Sophia (Pauley) Hawthorne. He married Della Katherine (Smithey) in 1961. No known children from this union

Everett K. Hawthorne Everett K. Hawthorne, 87 of Billings, passed away Sunday morning, April 3, 2000, at his home. He was born in Red Lodge, Mont., on April 20, 1913, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hawthorne. Everett graduated from Bearcreek High School in 1932. He worked for Frontier Airlines for 27 years, retiring in 1978 due to ill health. In 1961, he married Della Pratt. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Della; his stepson, Larry Pratt and his wife, Sandy, all of Billings; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials to the Shiner’s Crippled Children’s Hospital, 911 W. 5th, Spokane, WA 99204. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist has charge of arrangements.
