Nettie Bull Mapleton 96. Died 5-9-1987 at a Mars Hill health care facility. She was born in South Hampton, NB., Canada 4-14-1891 the daughter of Wilmot and Lucy (Baylis) Fox. She moved to Perham as a small child, where she was educated in the Perham and Woodland schools. She resided on the Parsons Road in Mapleton with her husband, Edward Bull, who predeceased her in 1967. She was a member of the State Road Advent Christian Church, its Mission Society and was a deaconess. She had belonged to the Parsons Road Friendship Club. She was honored as Maine Mother of the Year in 1957 and was also the recipient of the Boston Post Cane for being the oldest resident of Mapleton. She is survived by 6 sons, Arden Bull of Washburn, Alden Bull of Mapleton, Floyd Bull of Kennebunkport, Merrill Bull of Presque Isle, Marshal Bull of Lebanon and Jasper Bull of Bangor, 3 daughters, Lucy McCuen of East Greenwich, RI., Janet Bell of Gorham and Carolyn Dahlgren of Yarmouth, a half brother, Weldon Fox of Portland, 33 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Burial Crouseville cemetery.
