Deacon Leon Chester "L.C." Porter, 84, of Sopchoppy passed Wed. July 30 in Sopchoppy.
Funeral service will be 1:30PM Sat. Aug. 9 at River Of Life Church in Crawfordville with burial at Buckhorn Cemetery in Sopchoppy.
The cortege will assemble Saturday at 12:45 PM at 158 Surf Rd. in Sopchoppy. Deacon Porter will rest in the mortuary from 3-7PM Fri. Aug. 8 at Richardson's Tallahassee Chapel.
He was a member of Greater Mount Trial PB Church where he worked in many capacities including the Deacon's Board, Pastor's Aide Committee and fundraising committees. He was also a mason with the Buckhorn Masonic Lodge #254.
He serve in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Glynis L. Porter; Mother and Step Father: Ella & C.K. Green; Father: Frank Porter Sr.; sister Lucille Green Thompson.
