Luella Davis Parker, 82, Marion, died at 7:05 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014, in her residence. She was born in Macon County, Tennessee to the late William and Allie (Shrum) Bransford and married Lee R. Parker on October 19, 1984. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2014. She was previously married to Billy C. Davis, who died in 1982.
Luella retired from Marion General Hospital after 19 years. She was involved with her husband in the Heaven's Cupboard Food Pantry at Liberty Baptist Church where she was a member. Luella loved cooking for other people.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda (Steve) Collins, Swayzee, Gail (Richard) Stanley, Marion, Patty (Mike) Spyers, Anderson; brothers, Paul Bransford and Joe Bransford, both of Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Kim Davis, LaFontaine, IN; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to her and parents, Luella was preceded in death by her brothers, R.C. Bransford, and Cager Bransford; sisters, Ruby Bransford, Gracie Jones, Thelma Stevenson and Dorothy Bowman; son, Doug Davis.
Funeral Service is at 11:30 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2014 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN, with Pastor Terry Bishir officiating. Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, IN.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 2-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
