Jamie Lee McKee, 22, son of Steve and Michelle Hurt McKee, was born Aug. 16, 1983, at St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View. He died Feb. 7, 2006, near Summersville.
He was a 2002 graduate of Summersville High School and attended the Church of God of Prophecy at Summersville through childhood and his teen years.
He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local #513, where he was in his second year of apprenticeship school.
He enjoyed operating heavy equipment, hunting, four wheeling and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Russell Marion McKee.
Surviving are his parents of Summersville; one brother, Cory McKee of Summersville; and his grandparents, Thelma McKee and Jack and Doris Jean Hurt of Summersville.
Services were Feb. 12 at the Midvale Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Stacey Prewett and the Rev. Emmett Bradford officiating. Burial was in the Midvale Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home at Summersville.
