Leona F. Devecka, 77, of Clarksville, Pitt Gas, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, in her home.
She was born November 16, 1936, in Clarksville, a daughter of the late Samuel J. "Cubby" and Leona Edwards Baer.
Mrs. Devecka was a 1954 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School.
She was retired from Jefferson-Morgan School District, where she worked for several years in the cafeteria.
She also worked at Pajama Factory in Waynesburg and Sabre Helmet in Jefferson.
On April 7, 1959, she married David D. Devecka Sr., who died March 26, 1979.
Surviving is two sons, David D. Devecka Jr. and wife Brenda and Michael A. Devecka, both of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Andrea, Breigh, Tia, and Michael; seven sisters, Betty Beatty of Pitt Gas, Eleanor Vuicich of Charleston, S.C., Gladys Kubasik of Levittown, Jean (Adolph) Mysza of Parma Heights, Ohio, Shirley (John) Coss of Waynesburg, Patty (Jay) Snincak of Fort Mill, S.C., and Janet (Gary) Foster of Dale City, Va.; and a brother, Walter (Phyllis) Baer of Apollo.
Deceased is a brother, Samuel R. Baer.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 6.
Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
