Funeral for Earnest Leon French, 86, of Decatur will be Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. French, who died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at his residence, was born June 16, 1919, in Lawrence County to Monte Leon French and Maudie Bell Austin French. He was a self employed carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Bunn French; one daughter, Mary French Nelms of Decatur; three sons, Leon French and James French, both of Decatur, and Dwight French of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four greatgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Nix of Hartselle and Shirley Jarette of Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Waldrep, Anthony French, Michael French, Jimmy French, John French and David Nelms.
Honorary pallbearer will be Kerry Rachel.
