Mrs. Rosa A. Wilkin, 83, of Butler R.D. 2, died at 5:30 p.m. yesterday in the Butler County Memorial Hospital, after an illness.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Leinenbach Portman, she was born and spent her life in Summit Township.
Mrs. Wilkin was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Butler, and the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Butler 443.
Her husband, William B. Wilkin, preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Wilkin at home and Charles Wilkin of Butler; two daughters, Mr. Edward (Jean) Cannon of Pittsburgh and Betty Wilkin at home; and nine grandchildren.

WILKIN-Friends of Mrs. Rose A. Wilkin of Butler R.D. 2, who died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1959, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Due to the fact that Saturday is the Feast Day of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, a blessing service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. A. J. Weisenberger, pastor, in charge. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Arrangements by Geibel.
Members of the Catholic Daughters of America will meet at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home to recite the rosary.
