OBITUARY - EVELYN MARIE MASSE (Forest County Republican).

Mrs. Evelyn Marie Masse, 62, a former resident of Laona, died at Milwaukee county general hospital in Milwaukee Thursday, April 26th. She had made her home in Milwaukee for about ten years, and resided at 3526-A West Silver Springs in that city at the time of her death. Visitation was at the Halverson Funeral Home, Crandon, after 4 p.m. Friday. Rev. Edgar Gharis conducted funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers included Joseph Bytell, Raleigh Calhoun, Robert and Lyle Cook, George Baierl and Harold Mohr.

The daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Irish) Tomany was born at Laona on May 10, 1910. She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Laona. She married Alphonse Masse on July 17, 1926 and he preceded her in death on May 30, 1961. She was also preceded in death by a son. Survivors include two sons, Chester of Hubertus and Robert of Milwaukee, and six grandchildren.
