John E. "BY" "Bubba" Posey, age 60 of Evansville, IN died Mon 8/4/14 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born in Corydon, KY on February 4, 1954 to Elder John Lee Posey and Florence Everhart. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a hard working man who retired from the Laborer Local 561 after 30 years. On June 26, 1978, he met his wife Calasha Marie Suggs and in 1982 she became his loving bride. Elder John L. Posey, his father, officiated their marriage. One of his passions was to BBQ on his pit. Ribs, chicken, pulled pork, deer, you name it, he could grill it. People would be lining up to buy his BBQ. He loved hunting and fishing. He put candy bowls around the house and watched everyone sort through them. He took pride in his yard work and his truck. John was a member of Corydon Church of God in Christ. He joined at an early age and helped in the church until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elder John Lee Posey in 2012.

Aunt: Bertha V. Everhart Brandon of Indianapolis, IN
A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will be 12 Noon Sat. 8/9/2014 at Church of God in Christ in Corydon, KY. Elder Carl Patrick Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in UBF Cemetery in Corydon with full military rites. Visitation will be 10AM until service time on Sat. at the church.
