Wallace "Shorty" Frazier, 87, of Parkersburg, died Aug. 4, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, after a short illness.

He was born in Wood County, a son of the late Floyd and Frances Jane Frazier.

He was a graduate of PHS and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was retired from Hattman Glass. He was a member of Camden Avenue Church of Christ since 1974. He enjoyed bowling and watching softball.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria Lucille Vecchio Frazier, who he married on July 12, 1952; a son, David Howard Frazier; daughters, Terri Brown (Fred) and Sharon Frazier, all of Parkersburg; a brother, Ronald Frazier (Pat) of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Chad Richards (Amy), Rocky Paintiff (Brianna), Scott Brown (Lori), Joseph Paintiff (Jami), Amanda Bosley (Marshall) and Stormi Frazier, all of Parkersburg; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Floyd Jr. and Robert Frazier.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at Evergreen Cemetery North, with Pastor Joseph Paintiff officiating and military rites provided by American Legion Post 15.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, West Virginia Chapter, Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Office, 1218 Market Street, Parkersburg WV, 26101, or to the American Cancer Society, 3901 Briscoe Run, Parkersburg WV, 26104.
