Visitation for Mrs. Bonnie Sue Whitehead, age 73, of Winona, is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
Mrs. Whitehead died Monday, May 26, 2014, at a Tyler hospital.
She was born in San Augustine on Oct. 2, 1940, to the late Ocey William and Cleo Elizabeth (Sowell) Jones. Mrs. Whitehead worked for Mary V's in Tyler and formerly owned Bonnie's Beauty Bar. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winona and was preceded in death by her stepfather, Curtis Frazier; and granddaughter, Heather Whitehead.
Mrs. Whitehead is survived by her husband, L.C. Whitehead, of Winona; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Kay and Larry Fite, of Whitehouse; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Starla Whitehead, of Winona; three grandchildren, Haley Whitehead, of Houston, Chris Fite and wife Ashley, of Flint, and Keven Fite and wife Jen, of Flint; two great-grandchildren, Karlee and Landrie Fite, of Flint; half brothers and sister, David Jones, Obie Jones, Rickey Jones and Nelda Chandler, of Nacogdoches; stepbrother, Curtis Frazier Jr. of Silsbee; stepniece and stepnephew, Helen Castilaw and Charles Ray Frazier, both of Silsbee; and nieces, Kai Duker, of Arkansas, and Lesa Armstrong, of Nebraska.
