She married George Worman in Jefferson City, Mo., Oct. 13,1941. Ada worked for the BIA in Shiprock for over 20 years, was a charter member of the Methodist Church in Shiprock and an active member of the Methodist Church in Farmington. She was also a member of the BPW, Miners and Prospectors, and NARFE.
Ada enjoyed being one of the "Blister Sisters" and playing in the Hillbilly Band. She volunteered at the Manor nursing home, calling bingo for over 25 years, and for several years at The Bridge. She was also a member of the Wednesday friendly lunch bunch. Ada always had a smile and will be greatly missed by her family and many, many friends.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.
She is survived by a brother, Mack Wilson of Gower, Mo.; son, John and wife, Christel of La Luz; daughter, G-Ann Jessup and husband, Don, of Cortez, Colo.; grandchildren, Sandra Worman and husband, Bob MacNeil, of San Diego, Calif., Kelly Jackson and husband, Art, Stephanie Stone and husband, Jeff, and Chris Jessup, all of the Cortez/Dolores, Colo. area, and Richard Jessup and wife, Barbara of Charlotte, N.C. She also leaves six great-grandchildren, Brandon, Carley, Tori, Breanna, Parker and Carson; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at First United Methodist Church, 808 N. Monterey Ave. in Farmington, with the Rev. Craig Curry officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Farmington.
In lieu of flowers, Ada requested donations be made to Madison House, 120 S. Madison St., Cortez, CO 81321; or Farmington Senior Center, 109 E. La Plata St., Farmington, NM 87401.
