Phoebe R. Miller, age 83, 360 Glenn Ave., Bloomsburg, died at 3:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at Balanced Care At Bloomsburg, a health care facility in Scott Township, where she resided for two years.
Born in Philadelphia on March 10, 1931, she was raised by her grandparents, Edward and Phoebe Reed in the Mainville area. She was a 1949 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Phoebe was a longtime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Miller, on Jan. 3, 2009.
Phoebe is survived by two children: Sandra Jarrard, Woodland Park, N.J., and Gary Miller, Bloomsburg; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family, having been an only child.
Private services will be held with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Joel L. Zeiders, officiating. Interment in the Episcopal Cemetery, Danville. There will be no calling hours.
