Beverly Jean (Lawler) King, 70, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in the presence of her loving family at her home in Pascagoula, MS. She was born to the late Charles E. and Irene Thorne Lawler in Phillips county, Arkansas on September 20, 1943. She was a graduate of Kingsberry High School Class of 1961.

Jean shared 49 ½ years of marriage to James Robert King and was a devoted and loving mother to their children. She was a valued and faithful employee of Coastal Chemical/MS Phosphates for more than 20 years and was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved her husband, her children, her grandson and her dogs. Jean was a friend to many and had many friends. She will be missed.

Eagerly awaiting her arrival on the other side are her parents, Charles Lawler and Irene Thorne Lawler; sister, Ann Vanderven; brother in law, Bob Vanderven; brother, Charles "Sonny" Lawler; and sister in law, Pat Lawler.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, James Robert King; her two sons, Chris and Wayne (Dianna) King; her daughter, Kimberly (Chris) George; sister in law, Lucy Lawler and grandson, Charlie King. Also surviving are her sisters, Sue Culver and Jo (Vincent) Beckham as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 4, 2014 starting at 10:00 a.m. with services to follow at 12:00 noon from the Chapel of Coastal Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS. with Sam Jones, Chaplain of Singing River Hospital, officiating. Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens, located on the property with Coastal Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Tev Culver, Stoney Stringer, Randall King, M. L. King, Mitchell King and Chris George. Honorary pallbearers are Chris King & Wayne King.
