William O. McDonald, 87, of 35 Edgewood Dr., Sidney, formerly of 171 Biever St., Binghamton, died Thursday evening at The Hospital, Sidney. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Jeanne) Dilley, Sidney, Mrs. John (Marian) Cable, Sidney; three sons, Uriah Short, Owego, Irving McDonald, Binghamton, Lt. Cdm. Ray McDonald, Retired USM, San Diego, Calif.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. He was an independent ice dealer in Binghamton, he served the south side and central city for over 40 years before retiring. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. from the William R. Chase & Son Funeral Home,737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, with the Rev. Clayton W. Hoag officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 p.m..
