Dorothy R. Wingard, 58
Dorothy R. Wingard, 58, a resident at Highlandview Health Care Center in Brockway, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Highlandview Health Care Center, Brockway.
She was born Jan. 11, 1953, in DuBois, a daughter of the late Vern Bloom and Amaryllis (Seyler) Bloom, who survives.
She was married to Richard Wingard, who preceded her in death Nov. 1, 1990.
Mrs. Wingard was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church at Chestnut Grove.
She enjoyed crocheting and animals.
Mrs. Wingard was a homemaker.
In addition to her mother, surviving relatives include two sons, Brian Wingard of Bradford and Jason Wingard of Punxsutawney; two daughters, Kathleen Picard of DuBois and Christina Pierce of Reynoldsville; four sisters, Marsha Gregor of Grainsboro, N.C., Karen DeBoer and Sally Neiswonger, both of Reynoldsville, and Cheryl Mumford of DuBois; and 14 grandchildren.
In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanette Stretch and Rose Mary Bloom.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home, Inc.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Lee officiating.
Interment will be in Munderf Cemetery.
