Debra Kay "Shepard" Haynes, 61, Marion, died at 3:56 a.m., on Saturday, August 2, 2014.

She was born in Elwood, Indiana, to the late Sam and Martha (Bouslog) Shepard. She married Leland Haynes on August 1, 1981, and he survives.

Debra was a graduate of Elwood High School. She worked as an inspector at Guide Corp. in Anderson for three years. She also worked at Family Dollar in Marion. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Debra loved her family dearly and being with friends. Listening to Paul McCartney and music from the 70's was a favorite pastime of hers. She enjoyed art, painting on slate, doing woodworking, and going to auctions.

In addition to her husband of 33 years, surviving are son, Jacob (Rhiannon) Haynes, Bluffton, Indiana; brother, Mark (Tammy) Shepard, Elwood, Indiana; sister, Beth (Roger) Hartman, Elwood, Indiana; grandchildren, Laney and Gavin Shepard, Bluffton, Indiana; many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are parents, Sam and Martha (Bouslog) Shepard; brother, Brian Keith Shepard; sister, Diana Lynn; niece, Mary.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Needham-Storey-Wampner
Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, Indiana, with Rev. Terry Bishir officiating.

Burial will be at Gardens of Memory, Marion, Indiana.
