Teresa C. "Tess" Day, of Lancaster, passed away on August 4, 2014. Her happy spirit never wavered as she cheerfully conquered a brain tumor for some of the last 13 years, repeatedly defying the odds.

Tess was born on January 5, 1965 to Dean and Rosemary Tierney. She graduated from St. Francis High School in 1983 and attended UW-La Crosse. Tess married Craig R. Day on August 8, 1987.

Tess believed wholeheartedly in living life to its fullest, and used each day as an opportunity to give to others and share happiness. She loved children - mostly her own. Tess raised her three children and provided daycare for multiple families, caring for the kids as her own. Her gift with young children was unmatched.

Tess also found joy in the Badgers, Bruce Springsteen, beer, meeting new people, and making memories with those she loved.
