>Obituary, MODESTO BEE, Aug. 1, 2002: Wayne Hansen, 88, of Modesto died of natural causes Wednesday at Casa de Modesto. Mr. Hansen was a native of Spanish Fork, Utah. He lived in Modesto 59 years. He was a teacher and had taught at Ceres Union High School for 36 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a bishop for seven years.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Hansen of Modesto; children, Dr. James Wayne Hansen of Indiana, Dr. Paul B. Hansen of Merced and Faye Pinkston of Eugene, Ore.; and 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Orangeburg Avenue Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson.Less
