Mae E. Ader, 93, of Chebanse passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.

She was born April 12, 1925, in Kankakee, the daughter of August and Maybelle Genshaw Sittig. She married Milton E. Ader on June 15, 1946, in Kankakee and he preceded her in death on November 26, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda (Louis) Mahoney of Chebanse; one son, Douglas (Sylvia) Ader of Ashkum; four grandchildren, Misty (Joe) Powers, Karrie (Brock) Dundas, Jennifer (Jeff) Voss, and Kyle (Amy) Ader; eight great-grandchildren, Samantha, Andrew & Emma Powers, Ethan, Madison & Kenzie Dundas, Ben McCarty, and Leaha Voss; one brother, Art (Romona) Sittig of Kankakee; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ader was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Chebanse.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am funeral service on Friday, August 17, 2018, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Chebanse. Rev. Kene Whybrew will officiate.

Burial will follow at Kankakee Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Harvestview in Herscher or Zion Lutheran Church in Chebanse.

Arrangements are by the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton.
