Doll is survived by his wife, Alpha Myrtle Bolen Dangerfield. He was a veteran of the U S Marine Corps having served on the USS Nashville, at the Washington and Philadelphia Naval Yards, South Charleston, WV Naval Ordnance Plant, and submarine base at New London, CT. After discharge from the Marines, he worked for a few years for General Machine, South Charleston, and retired from Union Carbide as a millwright in 1976 with 31 years of service. He was an ordained minister and chaplain, a former member of the Greenbrier Ministerial Association, and volunteer in nursing homes and hospitals in Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio.
