Robert James Whitney "Bill" Doughty, 80 yrs, passed away Wed. Jan. 26, 1994 at the Sudbury Memorial Hospital.
Born in New Liskeard and married in 1933 to Myrtle Winters, he moved to Sudbury in 1948. Mr. Doughty was a miner at Falconbridge for 27 yrs, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle. He is the beloved husband of Myrtle (Winters) Doughty of Sudbury, loving father of Bob (wife Hilda) of Calgary, Shirley (husband Randy Wilson) of Selkirk, Jim (wife Marilyn) and Pat (husband Ron Reed) both of Sudbury and dear grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He rested at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home with the funeral service in Glad Tidings Tabernacle, Saturday, January 29. Interment in the New Liskeard Cemetery. Donations to the Memorial Hospital Heart Fund would be appreciated.
