COLUMBIA - Services, with military rites, for Lt. Col. William A. Rawlins, U.S. Army (retired), 84, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Mr. Rawlins died Thursday, June 11, 1998. Born in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Harry Steadman and Bertha Kohles Rawlins. He was retired from SC DHEC and a member of the Federal and Columbia chapters of the Retired Officers Association. Mr. Rawlins was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He supported the "Just Say No Club" and "Missing Children". He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
