Areta Elnora Crowell, 86, of Fountain West Health Center, West Des Moines, died of a heart ailment there Saturday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Galilee Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
Born in Attica, she had lived 30 years in the Des Moines area, where she retired as an office clerk.
Surviving are two daughters, Jane Stansbery and Mae Baker, both of Des Moines; a sister, Laverne Phillips of Florence, Colo.; a brother, Don King of Knoxville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Tonini Funeral Home.
