Charlie William Riddick, 80, passed away January 9, 2013. He was born in Suffolk the son of the late Maude Smith Riddick and Willie Edward Riddick. He was predeceased by his sisters, Grace Salmon and Marion Byrd; and brother, Ryland Jack Riddick. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. Charlie retired after 42 1/2 years as a Superintendant of Cold Storage for Planters Peanuts. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Suffolk.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margaret Hundley Riddick; daughter, Angela R. Golowinski and husband, Leo of Marietta, GA; son, Stephen A. Riddick and wife, Krista of Suffolk; grandchildren, Jordan, Rylan, and Olivia Riddick, Erica and Jeremy Golowinski; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Ann Griffin of Suffolk, Betty and Charlie Holland of FL; sister-in-law, Joyce Riddick; brothers-in-law, Rudolph Byrd all of Suffolk, and Frederick Hundley of Townsend, GA.

His funeral service was held January 13, 2013, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Thurman Hayes, Jr., and the Rev. Charles Thompson officiating.

Parr Funeral Home & Crematory served the family.
