Mrs. Parson was a daughter of William H. and Lena L. Fair, of Tenth and Moore streets, and was born in Huntingdon on September 28, 1883. At the time of her death she was aged thirty-five years and eighteen days. She was united in marriage to Archie Parson, of Shade Gap, about sixteen years ago. They lived in Mount Union about all their married life. About two years ago they moved to Port Royal where Mr. Parson has been employed as a signalman. She was well known in Huntingdon and was a respected young woman; She leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her sudden death. She and her husband have been members of the Baptist church at this place.
She is survived besides her husband by three daughters and one son. They are: Mildred Calvin, Thelma and Lena Parson, all at home. She is also survived by her parents, residing in Huntingdon and the following brothers and sisters – Ira H. Fair, Mrs. C. B. Swayne, Lewis E. Fair, of Huntingdon; Marietta Fair, at home; Mrs. Harry Cornelius, Mrs. Howard Mills, of Juniata; and Harvey Mills, who has been ill at the home of his sister Mrs. Cornelius, of Juniata.
Funeral services were held at the residence were held at the residence in Port Royal on Sunday. The cortege arrived at Huntingdon the 1:52 train Sunday afternoon and went to the home of her parents where further services where held by Rev. Wagner of Huntingdon, and Rev. Bullen of Mount Union. Interment was made in Riverview cemetery.
