Gertrude C. Baer, 92, formerly of Hunlock Creek, died Wednesday morning at
Bonham Nursing Center, Stillwater, Luzerne County, PA. She was born April 9, 1902, in Plymouth,and she was a daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Haas.
She was a member of the Hunlock Creek United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; daughter, Gertrude Evelyn Davenport; sister, Elizabeth Erwine; brothers, Theodore, William, Harry, Jimmy, and Edward.
Surviving are sons, William, Willard and Marvin, all of Shickshinny; Glen, Benton; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Hillard, Plymouth; Emily Klem, Larksville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Clarke-Piatt Funeral Home Inc., Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek. The Rev. William Williams of the Holisterville Bible Church will officiate.
Interment will be in Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
