According to one family tree, he was born in Banks Co., Georgia., son of John & Mary Ann (Stubblefield) Parker;
grandson of Joseph & Penelope Scalf Parker who came into Habersham Co., Ga. about 1828. (Banks County was created later from part of Habersham County). John had brothers Joseph, Lewis, Squire and William.

A different family tree says Lewis Parker was born in Dekalb County, Georgia, the son of John J. Parker and Mary Ann Stubblefield "or Walker."
Grandson of John G. Parker (1789-1842) & Mary Graham.
Great-grandson of John Parker (1753-1845) from Ireland, a Revolutionary War soldier, & Elizabeth Gresham.
Great-great-grandson of John Gresham II & Barbara Burdine.
Third-great-grandson of John Gresham & Ann Carmen.
Fourth-great-grandson of Charles Gresham (1687-c1727) & Mary Arven.

Grandfather of Bonnie Parker (1910-1934), notorious outlaw.

Most references give his name as Lewis Parker. The following sources all say Robert Lewis Parker, and give birthplace as DeKalb County, Georgia:
Our Harrison/Hazelwood Family by Wanda Harrison;
Stoddard Family & Sheffer Family Tree by jldjerrysue1 on Ancestry.com;
Holley-Cox Gedcom by Gail Cox;
Luther Erron Hankins Jr. Family Tree by Sonny Hankins
Crain Family by Jerry Crain.

According to his daughter Annie's great-granddaughter Karen Damron, his name was just Lewis Parker and he was born in Georgia but not DeKalb County (email, July 13, 2015).

A lot of different families claimed to be related to Bonnie Parker, of course. Some claimed Bonnie Parker was of the same family as Chief Quannah Parker.
On WikiTree, Bonnie's father Charles Parker's parents are listed as James Franklin Parker (1928-1904) and Sarah Jane Jackson (1828-1905); grandparents Emanuel Parker (c1781-1851) & Mary Ann Astin (c1792-1873); great-grandparents Steven Parker (b. bef. 1761) , Robert Astin (c1765-c1840) & Susannah Mapp (c1769-c1825).
