She was preceded in death by her husband, as well as her parents and her siblings, Cora Cox Neldon, Marshall Cox, Gladys Cox Varner, and John Cox. Surviving family members are: daughter Cheryl Lloyd Fallis of North Little Rock, and son Larry Lloyd and his wife Vickey of Fayetteville; grandchildren Adam Lloyd and Erin Lloyd of Fayetteville, Anna Lloyd of Little Rock, and Darren Fallis of Cary, North Carolina.
Norma was truly a homemaker, providing a nurturing environment for her husband and two children. She sewed and taught her daughter to sew, then later made items of clothing for her grandchildren. Her favorite activity was to have the family over for dinner, which she did at every holiday and many Sundays. She enjoyed having everyone around her table.
Mrs. Lloyd worked for several years after her youngest was ready for college, but retired with her husband so that they could travel together. They took trips to both coasts and as far north as Niagara Falls. In retirement they each did crafts, and a favorite activity was participating in the String Band from Park Hill Baptist Church, a group that sang and played for senior citizens.
Park Hill Baptist Church was the center of their activities and friendships. After Norma developed Alzheimer's, when asked where she lived, she would answer "Park Hill", even though their long time residence had been in Levy. The family would like to express their appreciation to the team of caregivers who demonstrated their love and concern for her.
A celebration of her life will be observed in the fellowship hall of Park Hill Baptist Church on Friday, 10:30 a.m. August 8, 2014. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home,
