Rev. Locker bought a home and moved to Clapboard Town (Wakefield, Ohio) in the year 1847. The following year, 1848, Zion Lutheran Church was organized in this little hamlet three miles north of Greenville. Other churches served; St. John's Lutheran one mile south of Brock, Ohio. St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church 2 miles SE of Versailles, Ohio. St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Greenville, Ohio. A church near Beamsville, Ohio. St. John's and Zion Lutheran Churches Liberty Twp., and others. Rev. Locker always on horseback with his saddle bags went to those who needed him and brought gospel to the scattered churches.
