Thomas Eugene Payton
Mr. Thomas Eugene Payton age 83 of Thomaston Ga, passed away Sunday August 3, 2014 at Golden Living Center.
Mr. Payton was born on January 31, 1931 in Lagrange Ga, to the late Clinton and Jeanie Payton. He was formerly employed with Thomaston Mills where he worked in the spinning room for 30 years and also worked as a cabinet maker for 18 years. Mr. Payton served his country in the Thomaston National Guard. He attended Mountain View Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons Mr. Randy (Kay) Payton of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Thomas Payton (Beverly Shaw) of Thomaston Ga, brother Mr. James (June) Payton of Newnan Ga. 10 Grandchildren. 14 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Tuesday August 5, 2014 from 6-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the local cancer car c/o Mr. Carey Pitts at 300 Upson Ave. Thomaston Ga. 30286.
